Corporate sponsors make our avalanche safety programs possible!

What You Support

We provide quality information and promote avalanche awareness

In a snowy, mountainous region like ours, avalanche awareness is essential for winter preparedness. Our programs help improve the chances of safe backcountry outcomes for recreationists in avalanche-prone terrain.

The Flathead Avalanche Center publishes around 150 daily advisories every winter for three forecast zones encompassing 1.2 million acres of public land. The Friends of the Flathead Avalanche Center educates more than 2,000 students each season, reaching a wide audience including motorized users, youth, women’s-specific groups, search and rescue organizations, and partner land management agencies. We also provide our community with weather stations, courses, events, and public outreach around avalanche safety. Learn more about our mission here.

Our programs matter to you and your business

Many of our sponsors have been with us from the beginning, and their support has been key for getting us to where we are today. New sponsors help us keep expanding our reach! Our sponsors are a cherished group of businesses who invest in avalanche safety because of the benefits it brings to the community.

In gratitude for their support, we hold our sponsors in the highest regard and never miss an opportunity to sing their praises to our audiences. With 300,000 visitors to our website annually, 8,000 followers on Instagram, and 1,700 newsletter subscribers, lots of eyes see the brands that support our mission. Sponsor benefits go beyond logo placements to include private avalanche awareness classes for your staff, NRSAW tickets, and premier boothing opportunities. Learn more about our sponsor benefits below.

How will my in-kind donation be recognized?

Contributions with a value under $1,000 will be recognized as “in-kind.”

Contributions over $1,000 will be recognized at the cash value sponsorship levels, and donors will receive associated benefits, outlined above.

Your total contribution for the season combines cash donations, in-kind donations, and co-branded partnership proceeds.

Let’s work together!

You do what you do best: sell your product, but with a pledge to donate proceeds to avalanche safety. Use our mission and our logo to inspire and motivate your audience.

Who is a good fit for this kind of partnership? Maybe you’re an artist or creator inspired by snow and mountains. Or you offer a service our audience would benefit from, like fitness training, nutrition coaching, or mental health. If you make or sell gear, maybe you want to support the educators who teach people how to use their beacons!

Ultimately co-branding is unique to your business. For that reason, it’s an organic, effective way to make an impact.
