Went for an inversion excursion to the interior of Glacier Park to get some baseline data about our snowpack at upper elevations near the continental divide.
Observed this avalanche from a distance (Granite Park) on 12/05/2020. Based on the location, I am suspicious that this might be an avalanche that resulted from the accidental cornice fall that a skier triggered on November 22nd, 2020. (refer to observation: East Ridge of Heavens Peak.)
Unable to confirm the starting point of this slide due to vantage point and not confident in sizing it up. I've attached a picture if FAC wants to try to size up this event more specifically after looking at the photo. refer to Iceberg Peak Slide photo.
Numerous small wet loose slides observed late afternoon along steep sidewalls to a gully draining below Granite Park.
Numerous small wet loose slides observed along the Garden wall. Observed early in the morning before afternoon warm-up, so we expect that they ran Dec 2nd-4th.
