We went to Glacier Park to see the storm today.
We decided to ski the low-angle, south facing ridge back down. It was really good skiing, with about a foot total of soft snow above the 1/13 crust - at least until we got back down to where the groundhogs are praying for snow melt and spring...
These failed on small facets above the 1/13 crust. The slab was 4F+ and had a 1" thick, 4F+ suncrust above the facets.
Triggered with a very small cornice drop. Failed on 5mm buried surface hoar under a 4F hard slab. Bed surface was old wind board.
