We spent a beautiful day skiing in the Jewel. The day started out windy and overcast, with the yellow orb in the sky revealing itself a few times. Snow was firm and moist. It warmed up throughout the day until around 2pm when winds increased significantly. We saw signs of recent avalanche activity throughout the day, though we don’t believe any were from today. Goggles were advised on our descent as the wind contributed to reduce visibility with shards of ice. Everyone made it home safe and sound with ACLs intact.
