Snowmobiled into the Northern Whitefish and observed fresh storm instabilities as well as larger avalanche activity from the last storm.

6-8" deep sluffs, a little bit of slab-like propagation as they ran down.
Hard slab debris, suspect it failed on 12/24 crust based on snow profile dug at apron. Crown no longer visible, start zone is around 6,500 feet give or take a few hundred feet. Failure date is an estimate.
Suspect this was a storm snow avalanche (loose or soft slab). Failure date estimated.
