Today we bundled up and toured into the high country of the Northern Swan Range.
Up the Peters ridge road and then up the summer trail.
The crown had obviously been filled in with recent snow, so the crown depth is a guess. We could not see the runout and couldn't tell how far the slide ran. Assume this was a Persistent Slab that failed on buried surface hoar or facets. Despite what it looks like it on the map, it really is a WNW aspect. We feel there were many other slides in the neighborhood, but they had been erased by snow and wind. Assorted debris piles here and there.
