Class Details and Registration

2020/2021 Season Class Types

Avalanche Awareness Class

One hour class at a local establishment or online. They are public or private, following the Know Before You Go presentation.

Public - Free        Private - $150/class or included in some sponsorships

Tune-up Class

One hour class at a local establishment or virtually held. These can be public or private, with a specific topic of discussion related to avalanche safety.

Pubic - $15          Private - let's talk, please contact education@flatheadavalanche.org

Topics Class

Two-to-three hour class that includes a refresher presentation, room for more Q & A, and one hour of instructed beacon park time.

Public - you decide from a suggested donation page, everything helps

Partner Rescue Class

Eight-hour field course. One hour refresher and then hitting the hill for some hands-on practice.

Price - $35 per person

Intro to Avalanches Class

Two days, a mixed classroom and field course. Three-hour classroom session with a field day the following day. This caters to general users, ladies only, motorized, and other specialized user groups.

Price - $50 per person



This class is run through Flathead Valley Community College

Motorized Level One

Three days, a mixed classroom and field course. Three-hour classroom session with two field days following. We currently only offer a motorized Level 1. 

Price - $200 per person

This class is run through Flathead Valley Community College
